Camilla Ashforth
Educated at a Quaker boarding school in York, England, Camilla Ashforth studied Theater Design at the Central School of Art in London. She has designed sets and costumes for many major performances at venues such as Sadler Wells, Earls Court and Buckingham Palace. In addition to her work as a set designer, Ashforth paints, writes and illustrates children's books. Her watercolors are exhibited at the Maas Gallery in central London, where she lives, and she has published four children's books. Ashforth's first book, Horatio's Bed, was published in 1992 and her second book, Monkey Tricks, was shortlisted for the 1993 British Book Award, Children's Illustrated Book of the Year.
