Dwight Baird
Specializing in watercolors, Baird has been painting full time for the last decade and a half. Baird’s style has been to concentrate on a single subject and complete a series of related works. Baird’s first exhibition was 14 works depicting life in Canada’s easternmost province. His next theme “Midway” depicted people who are part of carnival life. In 1993 Baird turned to baseball as subject matter and completed 50 works depicting all aspects of the game. After the baseball exhibition Baird founded “The Show Posters”, a company that publishes selected images from his Baseball Collection in both poster and limited edition formats. Baird is a licensee of Major League Baseball and his work is carried in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
