Christina Barnes

Christina Barnes is a self-taught artist, born and raised in Southern California, now residing in Phoenix, Arizona. She enjoys working in many mediums from painting to sculpture and textile design. Christina is always looking for something new to learn about and computer generated design has been the most amazing thing she has ever had the pleasure and frustration of learning. In her work, Christina tries to recreate a feeling that she had, either by being somewhere or seeing something that struck her in a certain way. The image in the resulting piece may not have anything to do with what originally inspired it but the feeling or emotion is usually there. She enjoys injecting a little humor in her art. When Christina does work on commission she is inspired in the same way except she looks for the feeling the client is trying to create through a certain image or use of colors. The process is also inspiring, the goal always being to hear the words "That is exactly what I had in mind!"
