Piet Bekaert
Bekaert was born in 1939 and is a native of Belgium. He studied art at the Academie Julian in Paris and at the Pratt Institute in New York. Bekaert has explored many different avenues throughout his life including painting, sculpting, writing, photography and architecture. He is best known for his paintings of landscapes and interior scenes with light that exudes a misty glow. He has also released two novels, Amaryllis and Snow Blossom and a book of poety entitled Gothic Blue. Bekaert's work has been shown in museums and galleries throughout the world.
