Riccardo Bianchi
A native of Florence, Italy, Riccardo Bianchi began his art career in his father's studio shortly after graduating from the Fine Arts Academy of Florence in 1957. Established in Europe, Bianchi was invited in 1974 to teach the course, Old Master Techniques at the University of Northern Colorado, where he was made Associate Professor and invited to teach other special painting courses. Turning his teaching into art mentoring, he took his Old Master Technique curriculum to Florence for American students of the A.M.C. (Assoc. Mid. Colleges). Then, in 1981 he began a course in modern art for the ITALART Association, an organization strongly followed by artists throughout Europe today. In addition to art mentoring, his list of achievements includes the 1983 opening of the Selective Art Academy for Foreign Students, specializing in art restoration and European techniques of the Old Masters. Bianchi's paintings hold a strong clientele in Italy and are sold thorughout Switzerland, England, Germany and the United States, where his old world style found in lithographic reproductions holds great appeal.
