Dan Campanelli
Subscribing completely to the traditional American aesthetic expressed in his works, Dan Campanelli convey's the simple, luminous beauty of his subjects. Married to Pauline Campanelli, also a noted artist, for nearly a quarter of a century Campanelli has gained inspiration from the surroundings of his home and the sleepy little villages in the Pohatcong Hills in New Jersey. The Campanelli home, which in 1976 had no running water, electricity, heat plumbing or septic, harbored an excess of the Nineteenth Century. Approaching the home as a work of art, Campanelli, along with his wife, restored the home on their own. The property, known as Flying Witch Farm, expresses the full range of the Campanelli's creativity and their deep admiration for the earth. In addition to his love of nature, Campanelli delights in his small collecion of Model A Fords and his hand carved and engraved Pennsylvania long rifles. However, he is best known for his watercolor landscapes.
