Jamie Carter

A native Texan, Jamie Carter gains her inspiration from nature and living in the country. In her studio, a 128 year-old cabin that was once a Methodist parsonage, Carter is surrounded by woods and constantly exposed to changing seasons and the miracle of nature. Playing an active role in the art community, teaching twenty art students every week at her gallery, Carter was originally inspired to paint when a college professor told her that she could not make any money painting realistic images. Creative beyond painting, Carter also enjoys sculpting, music and writing.
