Peter Cavaciuti

Peter Cavaciuti spent seven years studying with Professor Fei Cheng Wu, one of China's foremost contemporary artists. Peter continued his studies at the Central School of Art in Beijing with Professor Bao, a noted flower and bird painter. He uses hand-made paper from China, Korea, Japan and Nepal onto which he applies Chinese ink and traditional pigments and has recently developed methods of mixing colors from 17th century Chinese recipes. His work reflects his interest in classical Chinese art and Japanese poetics. Peter paints and teaches Chinese painting in Cambridge.
