James Danby

The son of Francis Danby, James-Francois Danby was born in 1816 in Bristol. He was a landscape painter, who excelled in depicting sunrises and sunsets. His works were shown at both the Royal Academy and the Society of British Artists, the latter of which he was a member. Danby successful career ended when he died suddenly in London in 1875 of apoplexy.
