Sophie Fatus

Sophie Fatus was born in Paris and studied Art and Architecture at the Fine Art University of Paris. She currently lives in Florence working as an illustrator, painter and sculptor and exhibits her work both in and outside of Europe.Fatus has written and illustrated numerous children's books for Italian, French and Japanese publishers including Editions Nathan, Milan Press, Giunti, Fabbri, Fatatrac and Gakken Co. Ltd. Her favorite subject matter and source of inspiration is animals. Hoping that her work is viewed as paying homage to animals, Fatus aims to capture their humanity, simplicity and humor.
