Julia Gilmore

Julia's artistic vision can be attributed to the juxtposition of her rural roots and a sophisticated urban background. Raised in a small town in New Hampshire, Julia migrated north to Montreal where she completed Fine Arts degree at Concordia University. She flourished in the Montrel rt scene, staging several successful solo art shows as well as participating in prestigious group exhibitions. When asked what inspires her, she says, 'Everything, particularly everday objects that are generally overlooked or taken for granted." She brings her subjects to life by applying vibrant oils to cnvas, often using palette knives.
