Larry Grossman
Larry Grossman's art career began at age 15, when he purchased his first airbrush and began hand painting T-shirts. Moving from Los Angeles to Berkeley in the late 60s, he attend3ed the California College of the Arts, where he studied filmmaking and photography. After graduation with an M.F.A. degree in Film and Photography, he returned to CCA for a brief stint to teach animation. During this period he produced two short films, both of which won numerous film festival awards. In 1981 the Walt Disney Studios enticed Larry back to LA, to work as a consultant/designer on their landmark film, TRON. Freelancing in the 80's, he produced many more illustrations for Disney, including posters for animated feature films. Larry has worked for Warner Bros. Studios as well as Frank Zappa where he designed three album covers for him. Larry's current work integrates many of his interests. His love of cars and hot rodding has endured since he was a teenager and he is once again doing design work for his very first employee, George Barris.
