Frederick Childe Hassam
Childe (Frederick) Hassam was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts and received his education at the Boston Art School and in Paris at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. His Impressionist paintings reveal the effects of sparlking sunlight on New England landscapes and cityscapes. His paintings July 14 Rue Daunon and Church at Glouchester are part of the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
