John Haymson

John Haymson was born in Vienna, Austria in 1902, and began his art training at a very early age. He studied fine art at the world-famous Academy of Fine Art, Vienna. Haymson worked with one of the great master etchers of recent times, Luigi Kasimir, and was warmly commended by him for his ability and talent. He also studied stage and costume design under Mas Reinhart in Salzburg. Haymson's broad interest in art and aesthetics led him to lecture extensively at museums and colleges and for many years he conducted student groups in Europe and Mexico for sketching classes
