Jozsef Heicke

Very few facts are known about the life of this superb landscape and genre artist, but his fascinating works provide a revealing glimpse into the Middle East of the Nineteenth Century. Jozsef is known to have been a painter and lithographer of Vienna, who worked in Italy and Hungary as well as in the Orient. He was born in 1811 and died in 1861.
