Nine High

The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances; if there is any reaction, both are transformed. Such can be said of Nine High’s Carmelo Blandino and Ysabel Le May, artists with over fifteen years of experience in commercial illustration and advertising respectively. Blandino has been creating art since he can remember. He owned and operated a successful illustration studio in Montreal, with international recognition ranging from Chicago to Australia. Recently he has made the jump to a flourishing career in fine arts, with representation in several Galleries in Canada. Le May has had a prosperous run in the advertising field as an art director. She owned and operated an advertising agency from Vancouver, with a multitude of corporate and fashion clients. She has extended her creative talents to fine arts as well as designing several lines of jewelry collections. The collaboration of these two creative minds has resulted in Nine High. Blandino and Le May have devoted themselves to creating a variety of paintings that have a more personal feel. The images depicted are representational of their environment and lifestyle.
