Tim Johnson
Born and raised in the mid-west, Tim Johnson gained much of his early inspiration in the rolling hills and dense, rich woodlands that surrounded him. This setting of natural beauty was a source of infinite subject matter and stimulation as a young artist. After he completed his degree in fine art, Johnson traveled throughout Europe, spending six years studying fine art and architecture. After returning to the United States, Johnson began to fuse his study of the classic painting he enjoyed in Europe with more contemporary impressionistic techniques. Influenced by Europe, the American Midwest, as well as the Southwest, Johnson molded these styles into one that is uniquely his own. He is still inspired by natural landscapes, which he translates into swirles and lines on the canvas, manipulating color to develop the feeling and mood of the setting. He currently lives in Scottsdale, Arizona and is represented in many collections all over the country, such as the Xerox Corporation in Cincinnati, Paine Webber in New York, and Electronic Data Systems, in Dallas.
