Abigail Kamelhair

Abigail Kamelhair received a BA in fine arts at Indiana University. Her concentration was in sculpture and jewelry, with minors in philosophy and art history. She earned a Masters degree at Georgia State University while she taught art. She was selected to exhibit in the Sterling Silver Design Competition and has had many one-woman shows where she has exhibited paintings, sculpture, jewelry and masks. Her works of art may be found in private collections throughout the country. Recently her one-of-a-kind furniture pieces have received acclaim from galleries and collectors. In her own words: "I started making things at an early age and have not yet stopped gluing things together. My outside world is visual, as I am constantly assessing and altering surfaces. My inside world is a passage to the unseeable, a clear goal in mind, and my imagination the means of travel." Abigail is married with two children. She has become adept at balancing her artistic endeavors with family activities.
