Kayvene

Kayvene’s artistic style relies on a simplification of forms and bold color contrasts. Her style is an intriguing blend of graphic, decorative and iconic elements. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica and currently resides in Toronto, Canada. She received formal art training at The Etobicoke School of the Arts, and has since continued to develop her unique style on her own. “My paintings are contemporary representations of women of color reduced to the bare elements of line, color and form. In doing so, I strive to create images that are bold, modern and sexy.”
