Eileen Klatt
Eileen Klatt's fascination with fish began as a small child growing up on the shores of Lake Pend Orielle in North Idaho and it continues today in her art. Each painting begins with careful anatomical and color studies of actual models. She often incorporates these initial drawings and notations with concepts of color theory to create the final piece. Klatt considers it a real compliment when someone tells her, " I've never really looked at a fish before. " She hopes that showing the beauty of fish to others will increase their awareness of the importance of conservation and water quality.
