Michel Lablais

After studying the applied arts, Michel Lablais traveled extensively in Asia and throughout the Pacific. Since 1956, his works have been shown regularly in galleries in France, Germany and the United States. Lablais has taken part in numerous group shows, notably " The Art of Assemblage " at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (1964), 'Boites' at the Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (1976) and 'Donation Daniel Cordier' the Centre National d'Art et Culture Georges Pompidou in Paris. He has also illustrated poems by Arthur Rimbaud and Andree Chedid.
