Jacques Lamy

Lamy was born in Paris in 1946. He studied art at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs and in 1971 was awarded the Prix de Rome. He studied the Classical and Renaissance fresco painters and created his own technique incorporating buon fresco with layers of plaster streched over burlap. His paintings combine classical architectural elements with elegance. Florals, tromp l' oeil and classical murals are among his works and have been exhibited in leading European and American galleries.
