Yuri Lee

Growing up in Korea, artist Yuri Lee was heavily influenced by the tremendous talents in her family. Her father was an opera singer, the eldest brother is a professional pianist in New York and another brother is an artist still living in Korea. Yuri studied at the Hansung Women's College in Pusan, Korea, where her focus was on painting the figure. In 1988, she came to the United States hoping to build a career as an artist. After years of spending her time painting people in Korea, where she enjoyed the closeness of common people, Yuri extended that talent to landscape painting which she finds is where her heart lies. Yuri currently lives along the ocean in Southern California and shows her work in local galleries.
