Valerie Lennon

Valerie Lennon's trademarks are her use of vibrant and intense colors and her ability to evoke emotion. "Hues, warm and cool, evoke a lot of emotion for me and I use them to arouse feelings in my paintings," says Valerie. She attributes some of her color sensibilities to her childhood home, which she says her mother saturated with vivid and interesting colors. Other influences have been the early 20th century Fauvists including Matisse, Dufy and Derain, whose painted landscapes she describes as "vibrant and intense in color and painterly form"
