David McKee

Born in Devon, England David McKee attended Plymouth Art College where he started to sell one-off cartoons to newspapers. His first book to be accepted was Two Can Toucan, published in 1964. The Mr. Benn series of books followed along with Melric The Magician, the King Rollo and the Elmer series of titles. McKee has formed a successful animation company, King Rollo Films, making films and other stories of his own that have been shown widely on television.
