Marianne Millar

Marianne Millar was born and raised in Southern California. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of California at Davis. Her early memories of visiting Indian reservations and trading posts with her family has inspired her to depict the Native American and Southwestern culture. The images she depicts are strong figurative characters that are historically researched. Marianne aims to imbue each painting with distinct a personality. The colors, extreme detail, passion and emotion captivate the viewer time and time again. Marianne sheds new light on the Native American past and their relationship to the present.
