Naoko
With paradise as the setting for her brilliant canvases, fine artist Naoko creates extravagantly-dramatic compositions featuring elegant, classical women in the Modigliani-Picasso mold alongside graceful zebras, colorul toucans, and regal jaguars against backdrops of swaying palm trees, magnificent orchids and plentiful tureens yielding fruits of exotic harvests. Educated at the Nihon Designer Gakuin in Tokyo, Naoko worked as a graphic designer before moving to the United States in 1982. Almost immediately, her unique primitive signature style garnered impressive awards and a prestigious Certificate of Excellence from Art Horizons. Naoko has exhibited in numerous one-and two-person shows, her originals are sold extensively through dealers in New York, California, Florida and Hawaii, and she is included in the Marquis Who's Who, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, and Art in America's Annual Guide to Galleries, Museums and Artists.
