Kim Parker, a native New Yorker, has been designing textiles for both the Fashion and Home Decor Textile industries for over a decade. In 1995 she started her own silk, hand painted collection of textiles and quickly established herself as one of the top print studios in New York City. She has had Soho Gallery Exhibitions and best-selling author Patricia Cornwell has collected her work on canvas. Her greatest inspirations are painters Gabrielle Munter, Gustav Klimt, Vassily Kandinsky, Emil Nolde and many of the German Expressionist painters. Her work has appeared in Elle Decor Magazine, Oprah Winfrey's "O" Magazine, and the April 2003 issue of Elle.
