Andre Renoux

Born in Oran, Algeria, in 1939 to a family of Provencal origin, Renoux migrated to France at the age of ten and first studied painting at Nice's Ecole des Arts Decoratifs. Renoux's early canvases explored streetscapes and the legendary Montmartre. Renoux's vibrant passion enabled him to paint the very essence of Parisian life, with an affectionate eye for bistros, cafes, squares and shop fronts.
