Sergon

Sergon born in Manila and raised surrounded by the diverse cultural influences of China, Japan and Southeast Asia. After winning first place in a nationwide painting competition he was accepted to the University of Philippines College of Fine Arts and later went on to study at the Scuola Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy. He is noted for his paintings of brilliant still lifes and lush gardens. They are realistic in form and detail, and yet there is an impressionistic aura surrounding each piece. He has exhibited internationally in Japan, Australia, and Spain as well as throughout the United States. His works are on display and in various private and government offices, most notably in the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C.
