Rosemarie Stanford

Rosemarie has a very eclectic, colorful and exciting life. She has circled the globe many times, and has had various careers. She founded, Marine Interiors in 1971 which specializes in Yacht Interior Design. She was in the airline industry for 30 years. She spent many years as an International relief worker, with orphaned and abandoned children, in India and Korea. Rosemarie's work consists of orchids, flowers, fruits, vegetables and plants that grow throughout her gardens. Rosemarie says she is inspired each time she walks through the gardens. There is always something new to discover. Her garden has been featured in both television and print. "All of my art features a black background. Black gives a dramatic and mysterious look to the work. I especially love the way the black intensifies the beauty of an orchid, or flower yet at the same time, gives a powerful feel. I incorporate a three-dimensional fee, as if you can hold the subject in your hand."
