Albert Swayhoover
Born in New York City in 1931, Swayhoover attended SUNY Farmingdale and the School of Visual Arts, but is self-taught as a fine artist. His serene, coastal landscapes have been described as contemporary, impressionistic and traditional and are executed in oil with palette knives. He has had many solo exhibitions in the United States, is the recipient of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Award and is a member of the American Society of Marine Artists. Swayhoover's paintings hang in private and corporate collections including IBM, CBS, and Chase Manhattan Bank.
