Trey

Born and raised in Atlanta, Trey was determined to embark upon a career in art from an early age. With unwavering energy Trey pursued his dream of becoming an artist, winning encouragement and recognition from his teachers. He was chosen to be among ten students in the state honored by the Governors Honors Program. As he went on to study art at the Savannah College of Art and Design similar accolades were bestowed upon him and he graduated Summa Cum Laude, salutatorian of his class. Trey completed his formal education at Georgia State with a masters in fine arts and remained there as an instructor of figure drawing. While his compositions usually revolve around still lifes, his love of the figure is evident even in his most abstracted works. Movement, gesture and form are integral components of his brightly colored paintings. Viewers are continually attracted and drawn towards Trey's joyful creations by his strong sense of light and color. The flowers, fruit and vases have a dialogue of their own, unique personalities relating to one another through line and form.
