Paolo Uccello
Italian painter Paolo Ucello, born 1928, taught himself to paint by copying the masters. Many of his paintings are influenced by such old masters as Raphael, Titian and Rubens. His favorite style is to reproduce the frescoes in the time of Pompeii. Ucello has recreated the art of this period with the texture and translucence of the originals.
