Pierre Adolph Valette

Pierre worked as a painter and engraver while studying in Lyon. While attending evening classes at the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs, he won travelling scholarship to Japan and in 1904 cam to England. In 1906 he became an Art Master at the Manchester School Of Art whre one of his pupilswas L.S. Lowery. From 1908-1922 he painted manu atmospheric scenes of Manchester which reflected his interest in Impressionism.
