Allan Weitz

Allan Weitz has been practicing the art of photography since graduating from the High School of Art & Design in 1969 and the New York school of Visual Arts in 1972. Widely published his personal work primarily focuses on capturing vanishing bits of culture. His earliest collective series include an architectural series of old seaside amusement parks that dotted the Northeast coastline and a series of old storefronts in his native Brooklyn. His most poetic work is the photographic images of classic wooden boats originally commissioned for the Nautical Quarterly.
