Lucy Willis
Lucy Willis studied at the Ruskin School of Art, Oxford before moving to Greece to set up an etching workshop. On her return to England, Willis settled in Somerset where she established the Moorland House Workshop for painting and printmaking. In 1992, Willis won the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery, London and in 1997 Haprer Collins published her book, Light in Watercolor. Willis exhibits widely and her paintings are full of both the exotic and the familiar, a result of her extensive travels in places as far away as the Yemen and India, combined with her response to the surroundings of rural Somerset.
